Mumbai – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has once again raised issue of mandatory voting. State Election Commission is observing Democracy Fortnight, which will be concluded tomorrow. On this occasion a program about Democracy, Elections and Good Governance was organized here today.
While addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed necessity for mandatory voting. Fadnavis said that political culture needs to be more mature for strengthening democracy. He also expressed concern about excessive monetary use during election process. He also spoke about possibility of conducting local bodies’ election at one go to avoid stress on administration.
