Maharashtra Assembly’s Budget Session begins today

Mumbai – Maharashtra Assembly’s Budget Session is beginning today. Congress and NCP boycotted the tea party organized by the BJP-SS government here yesterday. Congress attributed its boycott to the government’s failure on several fronts. Opponents are expected to raise the issue of farmers’ plight and agrarian crisis during the session. The hailstorm and untimely rain lashing parts of Marathwada, Vidarbha and North Maharashtra have intensified farmers’ problems in the state.

Apart from the agriculture, Congress and NCP are also likely to rake up the issues like unemployment, investment, and social harmony. The government is also preparing itself to counter the charges of opponents and present its achievements in both houses of the Assembly.
