New Delhi – Former cricketer and Rajya Sabha MP Sachin Tendulkar has written a letter to Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, to draw his attention towards the issue of quality of substandard helmets. Sachin has mentioned in his letter that more than 70 per cent bikers use helmets of fake or bogus companies, which directly affects to their safety.
Number of accidents are increasing in the country, in which bikers’ life is at stake due to helmets of bogus companies. The government should take stringent action against such companies, wrote Sachin. Sachin has urged the minister to take this issue seriously. Now all eyes are on Gadkari, it will be interesting to see how he responds to the letter.
