Nagpur – BJP’s MLA from Katol, Ashish Deshmukh is likely to follow footsteps of Nana Patole. On the eve of assembly’s winter session, Ashish Deshmukh has written a letter to CM Devendra Fadnavis. In this letter, Deshmukh has heavily criticized state government over its policies. He has accused the government of ignoring problems of Vidarbha, farmers and youths. Ashish Deshmukh is son of veteran Congress leader Ranjit Deshmukh, one of the big names in Vidarbha, who is one of the champions of demand for separate ‘Vidarbha’ state.
In the said letter, Deshmukh has posed a question that why government does not feel strongly about stopping Nagpur Metro project and instead take actions in order to prevent farmers’ suicides? Earlier Nana Patole too had criticized the state and central government for failing to solve increasing agrarian problems in the state, especially in Vidarbha. However, the government chose to ignore him. Now it’s to be seen whether CM pays attention to Deshmukh’s demands. Whatever may the case, his letter has added ammunitions of opposition parties, who are forming strategies to corner government over deteriorating agrarian crises in the state.
