Mumbai – The Minister of State for Rural Development, Shri Ram Kripal Yadav held a review meeting here today, with officials of the departments of Rural Development, Land Resource, Revenue, PWD and Social Welfare of the Government of Maharashtra.In the meeting which lasted for about three hours, various development projects and schemes in Maharashtra, which would benefit the rural population were reviewed. The meeting also reviewed the work in progress in the four aspirational districts in the state, where senior officials from the Union Ministry of Rural Development, have been asked to help the state government in moving schemes forward.
The Minister of State for Rural Development also said that his ministry is relentlessly working towards the development of rural areas, so that more jobs can be created and people will not have to leave their district or village to earn a livelihood.
