New Delhi – Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati has received some relief from Central Board of Film Certification. It’s learnt that CBFC has given green signal to the film with some changes. Film’s title is likely to change from Padmavati to Padmavat. Padmavat is the tile of the Malik Muhammad Jayasi’s epic poem, on which the film is based.
Also the producer will have to publish the disclaimer that the film is not based on historical facts, they have to rectify names of some places, producer has been also asked to give disclaimer that the film does not glorify Sati practice. There will be some changes in “Ghoomer” song too. However, there are no cuts suggested in this film. Due to opposition and violent protests from Karni Sena, distribution of film was delayed. Now in new year film will see the theaters.
