Mumbai – Shiv Sena has found another reason to target highest leadership of BJP, this time over VHP president Dr. Pravin Togadia’s sensational claims of threat to his life from IB. Taking swipe at BJP leaders, Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece Saamana’s editorial says that ‘In Communist regimes of China and Russia, there have been instances of vanishing unwarranted people. This might have happened in Pakistan and Iraq too.’
The newspaper has tried to equate the situation in dictatorial regimes with current government at the center. It says, ‘during emergency, with support from Indira Gandhi, her government tried to handicap her opponents. But if HIndutv leaders in today’s India are living with fear and terror, then Modi and Shah should come ahead to explain it,’ the paper demanded. It further says that since the new government is in place many including Lal Krishan Advani, have lost their voices, and asks if this silence is out of fear too.
It’s no secret that there is visibly love lost between the old friends, with Shiv Sena leaving no stone unturned to criticize Modi government. Today’s Saamana editorial is also seen as another attempt to do so.
