Mumbai – Shiv Sena has announced that there will be no alliance with BJP in 2019 elections. This resolution was passed today in its National Council Meet. Ever since Shiv Sena has to take play second fiddle in the current government, its uneasiness has been a distinct feature throughout last three years. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has claimed that Shiv Sena will remain with his government and it will complete its tenure of 5 years.
Shiv Sena and BJP fought 2014 assembly elections differently, however to its surprise, Shiv Sena came nowhere near to BJP’s performance. After much speculation, the parties finally came together and Shiv Sena joined the cabinet. However it was never satisfied with the treatment it got under Modi and Shah, much against it was used to when Shiv Sena was big brother in the alliance when Balasaheb Thackeray was alive. After its announcement of not forming alliance with BJP, all eyes will be on when the party finally leaves cabinet.
