Mumbai – The state government has designed new Helipad policy for the state, based on Civil Aviation Directorate’s rules and regulations. According to this policy, a helipad will be built in every district of the state. The Chief Minister has directed all district collectors to decide for the place in every district for the purpose. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has escaped helicopter four times, after which this policy has come into place.
Open spaces like open ground, district police parade ground, empty space in MIDC will be given priority for building helipad. This open space needs to be 52 X 52 meter; there should not be any barrier 245 meters away from Helicopter and 500 meter from helipad. Similarly, this place will be away from human habitation and sans any obstacle like electricity-data-telephone cables, transformer, mobile tower, etc.
