New Delhi – Congress president Rahul Gandhi chaired first meeting of Steering Committee here today. This 34-member committee was formed after Rahul dissolved erstwhile Congress Working Committee. Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh, A K Antony, Ahmed Patel, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Mallikarjun Kharge were among the leaders who attended today’s meeting.
Today’s meeting was held to finalize the schedule of next plenary session of the party. This session is expected to take place before beginning of second leg of Budget Session of Parliament, i.e. 5th March. During this plenary session or after that, new CWC will be formed. Many new faces are likely to replace some old guards of the CWC.
