Congress wins MP By-Polls

Bhopal – Congress has won two seats in Madhya Pradesh, where by-polls were conducted in Mungawali and Kolarus. Brijendra Singh Yadav won Mungawali while Mahendra Singh Yadav defeated BJP contestant in Kolarus. Both seats were prestigious for ruling BJP and Congress. Both parties were claiming to have the mandate of the people.

The state is scheduled to go for polls towards the end of next years. BJP is ruling the state for last three terms and it is looking for next term too, but issues like corruption and farmers’ agitation have caused great concern for the ruling party, while Congress is working unitedly to make most of the situation.
