Nagpur – Confusion over figures regarding loan waiver to state’s farmers is far from over. Subhash Deshmukh, Minister for Cooperation and Marketing, in a written answer to a question he informed the lower house of the assembly that, till 5th of December 5,142 crore rupees have been deposited in bank accounts of 9 lakh 43 thousand farmers. These figures contradict to the figures published none other than CM Devendra Fadnavis.
Fadnavis has tweeted on 24th and 25th September and claimed that, 6,500 crore rupees were deposited in bank accounts of 15 lakh 42 thousand farmers. His tweets had created controversy then, and again today government looked like talking in different languages. Now people and farmers are confused about which figures are correct and whom should they believe.
