Lalu Prasad Yadav Sentenced for three and half years

Ranchi – RJD chief and Bihar’s former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav was sentenced for three and half years by CBI special jail here today. He was also fined five lakh rupees. Since the volume of the punishment is more than 3 years, he could not apply immediately for jail in the same court. However, his son and RJD MLA Tejashwi Yadav declared that the party will go to higher court for the bail. Currently, Lalu Prasad Yadav is in Birsa Munda Jail, he received his sentence via video conferencing.

Lalu Prasad Yadav is punished in one of the case of fodder scam. He was found guilty for illegally withdrawing 89 lakh rupees from Deoghar treasury during 1990-94, when he was Chief Minister of Bihar.
