Mumbai – After trying to spoil BJP’s party in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, Shiv Sena is thinking of contesting Karnataka assembly elections to be held in the first half of next year. These elections are important for ruling Congress, which has only 5 states under its belt, Karnataka being the biggest, and BJP which is trying hard to bring its dream of Congressmukt Bharat in reality.
It’s learnt that Shiv Sena is trying to form alliance with radical right group Sri Ram Sene, which is implementing its anti-minority policies for last few years. The outfit’s chief Pramod Mutalik visited Mumbai on Sunday and held talks with senior Shiv Sena leader Subhash Desai. According to information received from sources, Shiv Sena can field on around 100 seats in Belgaum, Vijapur, Hubli, Chikmangloor, etc. Pramod Mutalik himself is likely to contest election from Chikmangloor. Shiv Sena’s entry into the state is likely to divide Hindu votes causing headache to BJP.
